Warning to Content Creators




Something just came to my attention today and unfortunately we are going to have to be very careful about mod perms now. That system I posted about before Sculptie-O-matic is such that you can use their scripts and drop them in your prims to create a sculpt map to use inworld. This is really a great system and allowed me to turn my tavern furnishings into very low prim items.

I discovered today that not only can I do this but others can do this with my items if they have mod perms. There is at least one seller that has done this with my drafting table.

So be careful, I hate to do it but I guess I'll have to change a lot of items to no mod, how sad. If you are a creator you may want to go to the inworld store and see if any of your items have been duplicated.

Update: I have talked to the creator of the Sculptie-O-matic and he says that someone would need full perms in order to generate the code to make the sculpt map. So... it could be that they used one of the tools around to change perms then did it, or they built it themselves copying my design only, it's hard to say. Still, you have to question people who copy, I mean, how good can they feel about themselves???
